Ghost Stories to Send You Chills - Story #1
There are some people believe in ghosts. With that said, there's some people who don't believe in ghosts. Despite everything, there's been proof of the paranormal existing and coexisting with us on Earth. Many that do believe in ghosts, will tell you that they've had encountered or have had numerous encounters with the dead. Some even disclose that some encounters were too close for comfort and scary to retell. Although, there's been accounts of pleasant experiences with ghosts and spirits.
I, personally, believe in ghosts and all other things paranormal that we cannot see with our own eyes or sense. Many times I've seen things that cannot be explained other that I'm just seeing things or I'm actually seeing a ghost. Truth be told, I've had both good and bad experiences. The good ones are quite humbling to the soul, but the bad ones, startle me and gives me the chills.
The first story, is one from my childhood. In my opinion, this one is by far the scariest of all the encounters. All these stories are true and actually did happen. Others were there and can vouch for these happenstances and can verify.
My childhood home, was in the center of Springfield nearby a Bass Pro Shops down the street from us. It was a one level home with yellow siding, plus a decent sized yard. The home was complete with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a garage. Pretty decent size for a family with three children and a dog. It was said to be built on a former cemetery or Native American and Civil War burial grounds that was moved elsewhere. The ground it sat on was apparently cursed from the remains being dug up after decaying there to rot. In my knowledge, it is a bad omen to build a home on grounds that was a former burial site and especially if the remains of people were disrespected in any form.
Before we lived there, the wife of the first owner, passed away in the northwest bedroom of the house from apparent natural causes. The second and third owners, tragically died. The second owners wife, was murdered and her spirit came back to claim the husband. The third owner, was killed by the ghosts of the previous owners. This left nothing except negatively charged energy and spiraled into a violent poltergeist.
My family had already moved there before I was born, lived there approximately ten years in the house and had little to no activity from the spirits inhabiting the household. After I was born, the spirit activity picked up again and got extremely vicious. It was more than something toppling over and bumps in the night. It was more of things getting thrown, waking up to things in a mess and furniture stacked on top of each other, manifestations, and people being dragged down the hallways.
My older sister and I shared a room together, since neither of us took up a lot of room. There'd be different occasions were I'd wake up in the middle of the night and seeing pitch black, with a dozen different sets of eyeballs staring at me. I'd hide young myself under my blankets and try to go back to sleep, but there's one night particular that stands out.
One night, I was lying in my bed asleep and woke up after hearing a thump on the door from the hallway. I knew everyone was in their rooms and nobody was awake, but me. The door was slightly cracked open a half inch so air could flow through, as it was quite warm and humid that night in particular. Brushing it off, I roll over and try to go back to sleep again, but I hear another thump and heard noise coming from the kitchen. I get up to see what the fuss was about and glide on my slippers, tip-toing into the hall.
I though maybe it was my mom or dad up in the kitchen. As I walked past the living room, I heard the clinking of silverware being taken in or out of one of the drawers. I look past the door and to my surprise, there was nobody. Then I completely became startled when I saw a kitchen knife floating in the air about adult height. At the same time, I saw another gradually rise out of an open drawer and it slamming shut afterwards. The knives were held like Michael Myers would carry them chest height. I was frozen in solid fear, but when the floating knives started coming at me, I was quick to my feet and ran. I darted back to the bedroom, hollering for help.
Once back in my bedroom, I peer out to see the knives quickly floating around the corner and swiftly making their way down the hall. I shut the door and it starts pushing on it so I can't completely shut it and lock it, but eventually had success and was able to lock the door shut. The knob started jiggling violently, which startled my sister awake and it started banging on the door.
Suddenly, it got quiet and I put my ear to the door to listen. It scraped the door with the knives and I moved my head away from the door. It was probably a good idea that I did, because whatever it was, stabbed through the wood of the door right where my head was and I probably would've died.
My parents woke up from being alerted and they went out to see what the commotion was. To their horror, they see one knife floating in the air and the other embedded in the door. Dad, told it to fuck off and go back to where it came from. Then the knife dropped and we opened the door to see our parents as startled as we were. I ran out to my mom, crying in absolute terror.
The next following weeks, I was too startled to even want to go home. I refused to eat or sleep and was reluctant to the word "home." We had minor experiences after that, but that was the scariest encounters I've had. It still startles me now and it's giving me chills just writing or thinking about that experience.
What do you make of this?
And was this an extremely violent poltergeist?

Latest Book Pick!
In the late, I've picked up some fun reads. Within the time of working and spending time with my family, I pick up a book and read whenever I find free time between art or recording guitar demos. There's been many new exciting books to have arrived at Barnes & Noble and in the E-book shops like Kindle or App stores. (i.e. Android/ Google Play, Microsoft Marketplace, Apples iTunes)
Many books caught my attention straight away and some I passed up from lacking interest. However, there was one that stood out to me in particular, was a book that hooked me for hours and lead to inspiration of my most recent artworks.
Croak: The Series by Gina Damico
Many books caught my attention straight away and some I passed up from lacking interest. However, there was one that stood out to me in particular, was a book that hooked me for hours and lead to inspiration of my most recent artworks.
Croak: The Series by Gina Damico
This book is about a troubled teenager, Lex, who ends up becoming a grim reaper. After being expelled from her school, Lex is sent to the town of Croak. There lives her Uncle Mort, who is the towns Mayor and is also the leader of the grims. At first, she thought it'd be a boring and long, drawn out stay away from home, but it was much more than she could've imagined. This wasn't no ordinary farm town in the middle of nowhere. This was a full town of individuals with extraordinary powers, acquainted by the supernatural. Lex soon finds that she's also a reaper of great power, however, getting emotions mixed with her powers is a dangerous combination when taken out to collect souls. She did just that and opened a can of all sorts of fucked up, and the afterlife would forever change as the town knew it.
My thoughts on this book series:
This series was undoubtedly captivating and blew my mind. It has everything I liked; troubled teen, grim reapers, scythes, the supernatural, macabre stuff, and a good story line. I loved it so much that I never wanted it to end. This was the first book since the Harry Potter series, that I was so hooked.
The element I loved most was, the characters. These individuals in the book were someone you could relate to and a lot of times you meet people in life that remind you of the characters or they're people you already know, surrounding you. It's creepy, mysterious and I was on the edge of my seat. It has its comedic relief and its timed just right.
My overall opinion is, this book and series is a wild thrill-ride and is a great adventure. It gave me the chills and made me laugh hysterically out loud at times. If you like spooky and macabre stuff, plus a great storyline about grim reapers gone wild...... look no further. I highly recommend this book and cannot implore you to read it. This is an absolute must read and will not disappoint.
I absolutely loved this series and hopefully more books like this is brought out in the near future.
My Rating:
5/5 (Highly Recommend)

A Little Snippet of My Book (Chapters 1 - 2) - A Preview Of My Self Works
I'm excited to bring to you a small snippet of the novel trilogy I've been working on. I'd call it a preview of sorts, if you will. I hope you enjoy this! Please let me know on what you thought and which part you liked best.
Plot/Dialogue:
The story was built on the idea of a question that everyone has burning in the back of their minds.
What if these worlds met to save the universe and bring down a common enemy? What if they joined forces?
This mind, bending thriller will have you on the edge of your seat. Start out in the ever-changing, world of SEGA and end up in the Neo-Saban, Marvel/ DC Comics universe. They must join together and combine their strengths to take down Dr. Eggman's most gruesome creation yet, the Dimension Eater. Entering each dimension, being faced with the foes each world. Will they join forces in enough time? For time, is the key thing they don't have much of to spare.
Here it goes....
Chapter 1: A Dark Beginning
It was a long time ago, back in the prime of Sonic's day. A decade that surely defined an era. Was a time of fighting enemies in hope of saving the universe and preserving the future. There were many battles and significant events of significant destruction that occurred. Long, drawn-out battles between two hedgehogs being the most memorable.
Eye for an eye, these two hedgehogs would battle daily, Sonic and Shadow. In the beginning, the two were sworn foes, constantly butting heads. However, over the years, they managed to push their differences aside to become allies. This was crucial for the events that were yet to unfold before their very eyes.
All was calm, until the day that chaos made its most infamous reign.
---------------Cuts to scene of Sonic and Shadow, battling Eggman. ------------------------------------
Eggman burst out in cynical laughter, " He, he, he, he, he...."
He pauses for a split-second, and then says, "Give up, Sonic!"
Then with his robotic arm, knocks Sonic to the ground pressing him in to the floor using the robots giant, steel foot.
Sonic completely out of breath and finds to spit out, "Never!"
Eggman replies, " Well, so be it you stubborn blue, hedgehog. Since you refuse to die then, I'll indulge in the pleasure of crushing you to death! Full power!" He then cracks an insanity, crazed grin.
Shadow bursts out of nowhere from a pile of rubble and says, " Not if I can help it, Eggman!"
In utter shock, Eggman just stares in absolute bewilderment and astonishment
.
"W-What?!" said a now anxious Eggman. Then he starts firing rockets and destroys random pieces of their surroundings. Everything to anything, from random crates to unfinished robots and boxed ammunition.
Their foe was firing rocket round after round, sending large pieces of metal shrapnel and debris airborne. Enough debris was flying around making it difficult to see, after Eggman's robot exhaust engulfed the Egg-destroyer hanger in thick, black plumes of smoke. The smoke became so thick that not only they could see, it was proving difficult to breathe.
While the smoke was still thick, Shadow used this opportunity to swoop over and help his blue haired friend back to his feet. Sonic turns to speak to Shadow.
"You couldn't have come at a better time, Shadow." said Sonic.
Shadow replied, "Agreed, there's no time for celebrating now. I fear this is much too far from being over." He paused then said, " We have a job to do, which is stopping egg-head over there."
Sonic replies back, " Right!"
There was leftover pieces of destroyed robots scattered everywhere. They where just laying their, as if they were tossed and smashed like a children's toy. Suddenly, a random robot exploded into flames somewhere behind Eggman's robot. Alerted to this, Sonic and Shadow, new this would distract their foe's attention so they could seize the opportunity of obtaining the upper hand.
They take out their chaos emeralds and Eggman takes notice.
"Like that would help you out now!" Eggman snarls.
Shadow and Sonic, both look at each other with smart-assed grins. Making direct eye contact with each other, they nod. The emeralds begin to glow and start floating like a ghost or a supernatural entity. Then they start spinning around them, encircling them both.
Sonic hurriedly asks, "You ready?"
"Yes, always ready!" Shadow quickly replies.
The chaos emeralds spun around them faster, symbolizing they're at full power.
Shadow and Sonic both in unison shout, " Chaos control!"
"What?! No, this can't be happening!" said Eggman in pure surprise and distress.
"Oh yes, its happening!" Shadow snarly replied to Eggman's distressed comment. Then Sonic has a turn of having his fun of making a "smart" comment.
"What's the matter, Eggman?" Sonic paused and then continued, "Afraid of a little blinding, gold?" Sonic sneered.
A flash of bright, golden light completely engulfs the hangar with an ethereal essence. The light was very bright. It was so bright, Eggman was blinded for a few consecutive moments. Once his vision cleared, he saw both hedgehogs floating before him. There was something strangely different about them though. Instead of their usual colors, Sonic being blue and Shadow being black and red, they were both a gold color. Sonic's eye color changed to red and his hair spikes were pointed upwards. Shadow's red stripes where glowing and his hair was spiked upwards. The gold was glowing brightly around them, making them appear ghostly.
Eggman suddenly starts firing at them again. The two bright gold hedgehogs rushed forward in a mad dash. They dodge Eggman's rocket rounds and the occasional robotic arm or foot, he'd try slamming them with.
Finally reaching Eggman and his robot, he tries to vaguely attempt to squash them on the ground, but fails. Shadow and Sonic leapt up, landing on the mechanic arm before the robotic fist could ever touch them.
Sonic shouts to Shadow, " The weakest point of his robots is always the dead center. Aim for the middle!"
"You got it!" Shadow calls back.
With full force, they pounded the robots outer armor and manages to puncture a large, barrel sized hole in the rouge machines core. This cuts the monster directly in half. The robot stops mid-step and begins to make a forward fall, crashing to the ground. As it falls, Eggman, tries to make a final effort to ensure his diabolical plan succeeds. He tries to reboot his robot, but its no use. Then the floor starts to shake violently.
As the giant, rusted machine made a gradual descent, out came loud screeching and grinding sounds. Eggman then hit the ejection button in his control panel, allowing him to detach from the falling robot and escape in a small robotic-orb. The big robot, however, finally met its fate crashing to the floor and exploded into a cloud of thick smoke, setting the Egg-carrier ablaze.
Between fire and smoke, everything was covered in a thick layer of black soot. Their surroundings were almost unrecognizable. Eggman, soon reappears out of a corner completely engulfed with smoke. To their dismay and displeasure, he survived the impact. Completely peeved, he grows angrier by the second.
"You wretched rodents will pay for that!" sneered Eggman.
"Oh yeah? What are you going to do, Eggman?" Shadow replied.
"Yeah, you always come back with new robots thinking you'll get the upper hand over us, but always end up failing miserably..." Sonic paused. He then continues, " With that attitude and demeanor, you'll always loose. You can never defeat us, because pure justice and burning hearts of courage, will always prevail!"
Eggman lets out a cackle, sounding nearly demonic. Both hedgehogs looking confused.
"You sure talk big, for a hedgehog that was nearly squashed moments ago." snarled Eggman. He then starts to burst out laughing again, only this time sounding more psychotic.
Shadow asks, " What's so funny, dirt-bag?"
This was said in an attempt to call their foe's bluff.
"Sticks and stones, hedgehog! He, he, he...." said Eggman.
Eggman, eerily becomes calm and recomposes himself.
"Well?" Sonic asks becoming impatient.
The floor begins shaking violently again. Then all hell breaks loose.
Chapter 2: The Unexpected Fate
Two large, metal arms explode upwards from the floor and swiftly swoop towards Sonic. Before Sonic could realize what was happening, they grab him without any hesitation, giving him no chance to react. In the robotic claws crushing grip, they clamp tightly around Sonic causing him to loose the air out of his lungs and howl in pain. He was practically being crushed to death.
"What the fuck, Eggman?! Let' him go!" said Shadow out of shock.
"Hey, let me go! Put me down!" said Sonic sounding panicked and is now having a hard time breathing.
Eggman, to his disgusting pleasure, bursts out laughing again.
To Shadows horror, he saw Eggman pressing something to clamp the claws tighter around his friend, who is now struggling to breathe.
"Eggman, have you lost your fucking mind?!" Shadow pauses, then says, " What the actual fuck is wrong with you?"
Eggman snarly grins and lets out more sinister laughter.
'You're mad! You've truly gone mad!" Shadow replied in absolute terror.
"So what if I have and what is it to you? I'm the least of your worries. Besides, you should be more worried about your friend that's being crushed." replied Eggman.
"For fuck sake, Eggman, let him go!" shouted a distressed Shadow.
Eggman replies, "As you wish, hedgehog!"
He then has the robotic claws release Sonic, launching him and therefore leading the blue hedgehog smashing to the wall and crashing to the ground simultaneously after. This causes the powers chaos control to suddenly come to a halt and they return back to their usual colors. And the chaos emeralds drop to the floor.
"Sonic!" Shadow worriedly calls out.
With the intention of picking up the chaos emeralds, Shadow decides it is more important to help Sonic than worry about some silly emeralds. He then drops everything and flies over to his friend. To his shock, Sonic was lying there completely knocked out cold and unresponsive. He tries to nudge his friend awake, but it didn't work.
Eggman still loudly cackling.
Shadow snaps at Eggman and says, " What have you done to him?"
Eggman laughing harder.
Shadow repeats himself, but this time sounding pissed off and annoyed.
"What have you done to my friend?" he said angrily.
Avoiding the question entirely, he proceeds to make a final taunt.
"Aw,...." he paused. Then said, "What's the matter, Shadow, did somebody come and squash your blue friend?"
Shadow then shot a darkened glare. And then Eggman added on to his last statement.
"While you weren't looking I snatched the chaos emeralds." said Eggman.
"Huh? You what?" replied Shadow looking confused and then shocked.
Eggman tries to make a run for it and presses something in his robo-orb to activate a dimension portal. Shadow became wide-eyed with a sense of dread, knowing he needed to stop him. However, he couldn't leave his friend behind.
Sonic woke for a few seconds to speak to Shadow.
"Shadow, go get the emeralds!" Sonic said weakly.
"But, Sonic," he paused trying to hold tears back, " I can't just leave you here."
"Just go!" Sonic paused and tried to weakly grin, "Don't worry about me, I'll be fine. You know what is needed of you!" Then Sonic passes out of consciousness again.
"Sonic!" shouted Shadow.
He then took a brief moment to recompose himself. He sighed and got up to go after Eggman.
Shadow thought.
I must stop, Eggman. I cannot let him get away with those emeralds. Let alone get away with hurting my friend. He must be stopped.
He looks at Sonic.
This is for you Sonic. Please hang on.....
Shadow is now in a dead, full on sprint. By the time he reached the portal, it was too late and Eggman already vanished to who knows where. What is he planning? Whatever it was, it cannot be good. He's now floating there gutted that he missed his chance to stop Eggman, but then he quickly remembered Sonic who was out cold. Shadow flew over and snatched up Sonic, deciding it was far too dangerous to stay where they were. He made the decision to teleport to his space-bound compound barracks.
